About

My name is Dr. Jennifer Lumpkin, Psy.D., ABPP. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in clinical psychology from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland. I earned my doctorate degree in clinical psychology (Psy.D.) from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2005. I completed my pre-doctoral internship in clinical psychology (with a neuropsychology focus) at Malcom Randall Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center in Gainesville, Florida. Upon earning my doctorate degree in 2005, I moved to Richmond, Virginia for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in neuropsychology and rehabilitation psychology at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Medical Center. During my postdoctoral fellowship, I worked with a variety of patient populations, but our specialization was in traumatic brain injury. In addition to my clinical work, I worked on applied research projects.

After completion of my postdoctoral fellowship, I started working at Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia. From 2007-2018, I worked full-time as a neuropsychologist at the VA Medical Center. My tenure at the VA Medical Center will end in July 2018. From 2013-2017, while still working at the VA Medical Center, I worked part-time in a group private practice and I provided psychotherapy and neuropsychological assessment services.

Dr. Jennifer Lumpkin

In December 2017, I opened my solo private practice, West End Neuropsychology, LLC. I am so proud of this business and as of July 2018, the private practice will be opened full-time. I enjoyed my work at the VA and in the group private practice, but I wanted a business of my own. I am so happy with West End Neuropsychology and I hope you will be as well. I take pride in working hard with and for my patients.
